Preview: Omega Has Declared 2024 The Year of the White Dial
Hands on with Omega's newest releases, including the latest Omega Speedmaster
Daniel Craig caused a stir in the watch community when he was spotted wearing a white dial Omega Speedmaster in November. The watch became available to the general public at the beginning of March and is just starting to roll out at local boutiques—it’s already impossible to buy online.
The new Speedmaster maintains all the specs of its modern black-dial predecessor: 42mm diameter, 13.2mm thick, sapphire crystal, yada, yada, yada. The main draw is the lacquer white dial. It may not seem like much of a change, but it represents a first for a regular edition Omega Speedmaster. Collectors are salivating.
While the white dial Speedmaster has been getting all the glory, a limited edition white dial Seamaster has slid under the radar: The Seamaster Diver 300m "Paris 2024" Special Edition. A glitzier take on the mainstay Seamaster 300, the Olympic Games watch features a gold bezel, gilt hands, and gilt indices.
